Something good for our Texas soldiers!
The state of Texas has the third largest contingency of veterans in the United States. In 1949 the Veterans Land board was established. They were given $45 million in bonds to resale land to Texas World War two veterans. They are still around today and unfortunately many of our Texas veterans are unaware of what they have to offer. The Veterans Land Board (VLB) differs from the VA. The VA is a Federal Program while the VLB is run by the state of Texas. To those soldiers who had one time or another in their career been stationed in Texas are eligible. Texas veterans can get a loan up to $417,000 for the purchase of a new home with a 15, 20, 25 or 30 year fixed rate currently at 2.91%. This is an unbelievable rate and fitting to those who have served our country so well. There are a few restrictions however, you must have served in the military for more than ninety days and you must not have been dishonorably discharged. Unmarried surviving spouses of soldiers killed in action or missing in action may also be eligible. This is great way for our soldiers to get into an affordable home and to help transition to civilian life. Finally to all of our soldiers, thank you for your service and God bless you!
